Dr. David Crawford specializes in adult hip and knee
replacement surgery. His New Albany, Ohio practice is one of the few in the
area that offers arthroscopic hip preservation surgery. This procedure is most
commonly done to repair labral tears and to correct abnormal hip shapes. In
order to offer his patients topnotch service, he underwent specialized training
in anterior hip replacement and partial knee replacement surgery. Both
procedures allow for a faster recovery period compared to conventional
replacement surgery, thus giving his patients the option to have same-day
outpatient joint replacement surgery. He is one of the few surgeons in his area
performing partial knee replacement surgery.
Dr. Crawford is also well-known for his numerous
contributions to orthopedic surgery research. He is the author of multiple book
chapter, as well as articles published in peer-reviewed journals. He has given
presentations at national orthopedic conventions, in Hawaii, Ohio, Colorado,
Boston, Nebraska, New Orleans, and Nevada, among many others.
Dr. Crawford is also widely recognized and awarded for his
military service. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal and the Army
Commendation many times in different years, as well as the NATO Medal and
Afghanistan Campaign Medal in 2014 for his service in Operation Enduring Freedom.
